Niall Roche - RIP

The President and Board of the Leinster Hockey Association are deeply saddened to learn of the death of our friend and colleague Niall Roche.
Niall had a long association with Hockey as a player initially with the Aer Corp before moving to Aer Lingus and latterly Fingal HC.
He was the longest serving member of the Leinster Hockey Umpires Associations, officiating at all levels from Senior to Schools.
Niall was most encouraging and supportive as a mentor to those starting out on their umpiring careers. He also officiated as a Technical Delegate at many tournaments.
The LHA offer our sincere sympathy to his wife Ann and family and to his many friends in the Hockey community.
