Leinster Hockey Clubmark

Your Club — Even Better!

At Leinster Hockey, we’re committed to working closely with our clubs to grow and enhance the game across the province. That’s why we’re proud to support the Hockey Ireland Clubmark Programme—because stronger clubs mean better experiences, improved player and coach development, enhanced facilities, and thriving communities.

The Hockey Ireland Clubmark is the national club accreditation programme, designed to help clubs reach and maintain high standards. The accreditation is divided into three levels—

Bronze, Silver, and Gold—each focused on four key areas:

•    Effective Club Management

•    Quality Coaching and Competition

•    Creating a Safe Environment

•    Safeguarding Members

For each level, clubs receive a comprehensive toolkit with guidance, resources, and ongoing support to help them grow and improve.

The aim of Clubmark is to support, recognise, and reward clubs that are committed to providing a high-quality, safe, and inclusive environment. Through this programme, clubs are encouraged to:

•    Develop clear strategies for growth and success

•    Improve administration and management practices

•    Enhance member experiences and attract new participants

•    Uphold best practices in governance and safeguarding

Together, we can raise the standard of hockey across Leinster—one club at a time.

Accreditation Levels

Hockey Ireland’s newly updated Clubmark Programme offers a flexible, tiered accreditation system with three levels—Bronze, Silver, and Gold. This approach ensures that every club, no matter its size or stage of development, has the opportunity to achieve recognised standards in key areas of club management and operation.

While we encourage all clubs to aspire toward achieving Clubmark Gold, the tiered structure allows each club to progress at a pace that suits their resources, volunteer capacity, and overall readiness. This system is designed to support clubs in building solid foundations, growing sustainably, and celebrating success at every stage of their development.

Who can apply?

Club Mark Accreditation is open for registration from any Hockey Ireland Affiliated Club beginning at Bronze level.

How does your club get started?

Step 1. Following Committee agreement to apply for the Programme, appoint a Clubmark Coordinator and committee to begin the process by completing the online application.

Step 2. Contact the relevant Regional Development Officer (details below) for any further support and/or discuss the programme
