Fingal Development Initiative

The Board of the Leinster Hockey Association along with the clubs in Fingal are engaged in a number of prejects with a view to strengthening the playing numbers in Fingal.
One of the projects is to establish representative teams at underage levels and to play a number of games against other similar representative teams. The expectation is that focused high quality coaching would be made available for the better players; hockey would offer an incentive to the players who may be balancing their future sporting career; the Board can learn if such an initiative yields results and help to determine if it should be extended.
The group working on the project are aiming to get an Under 16 girls team together in 2016 with a view to an inaugural game in April.
With this aim in view we wish to appoint a Head Coach and and Assistant Coach for the team. These will be short term but challenging positions. They offer an ideal platform for any coach to further their coaching career but in particular for those wishing to pursue interprovincial roles.
The normal conditions and arrangements will pertain to the appointment.
