Leinster Junior Girls Club League & Fixtures 15-16

The following circular was distributed to all Junior Girls Club Coordinators. All clubs are asked to attend the Annual Fixtures Meeting on 22nd Sept and it is essential that League and Cup Entries are returned no later than 13th September.

Key messages for 2015-16
·Girls in or below 5th class in primary school are not permitted to play on league teams
·The 8-a-side league games require a goal-keeper (in full kit, including helmet)
oGame time is being extended to 25mins per side
·Players in 4th year (Transition year) may play in the Junior leagues
oGirls in 5th year or who may have skipped transition year are eligible for the Senior league

·You should review the consolidated competition rules and regulations when deciding how many teams to enter in each competition
·Entry fees per team per league remain at €10 and €15 for the cup.
Tue 22-Sep: Annual Fixtures Meeting, Pembroke Wanderers Hockey Club at 8pm
·A provisional league fixtures list will issue for leagues and cups in advance of the meeting
·Clubs typically arrange blitz events for players from 1st to 6th class to coincide with the league dates
·Please wear a club top/sweater so that you are easily identified!
Match Dates:
We are currently working through end of season dates this year and will await the schools schedules before agreeing club semi-finals etc. There is a potential 3-week gap this year given St Patricks day is the week before traditional Easter holiday break. We will try where possible to avoid a clash with the schools finals.
·Please reserve pitch time for league matches on the following dates :
11-Oct, 15-Nov, 29-Nov, 13-Dec, 24-Jan, 28-Feb, 20-Mar
·ALL clubs entering teams in the leagues are asked to provisionally reserve 3 hours to facilitate 2 x Finals on 10-Apr or 17-Apr (date to be confirmed shortly)
·Jacqui Potter Cup & Plate competition dates are provisionally set and are dependent on number of entries : 06-Dec, 17-Jan, 31-Jan, 14-Feb (Cup final is Thursday 17th March)
Sun 04-Oct: First Registration deadline.
·Please return all registrations for league teams using the attached registration form to this email address
·Changes to be submitted by 5pm on last day of each month.
·Please register all remaining players by the end of October. This includes non-league players (e.g. Senior Infants to 6th Class).
Sun 14-Dec: Return all Cups & Shields from 2014-15 Season.
·All shields and cups to be returned by December.
·Trophies & Shields should be engraved with winning club's name and year of the final
