Coach Smyth added â€œTo be playing in an ‘A’ division again is a real opportunity for the players and Irish Hockey. My intention is to select the best eighteen players to represent us in the summer. Players have been included for trial based on their performance in the recent interprovincial series and also on additional feedback from provincial and club coaches. The opportunity is also there for any player that impresses between now and the end of the regular season so I am confident that we will have the right squad on the plane to Spain. “
