Vacant Board Roles - How to get involved

Following the LHA AGM last May, Leinster Hockey has been operating without a number of key board positions – including the roles of President and Honorary Secretary. This position is not healthy for Hockey in general and is not sustainable going forward. The LHA urgently need to fill these two roles at a minimum.
The board of the LHA are now appealing to all clubs to review the attached document (Click Here), and put forward potential candidates to fill the vacant roles. We are asking the Club Presidents to see if you can identify candidates for any of the board positions from within your own clubs or from your wider range of contacts within the Leinster Hockey community.
We would appreciate if you could respond to the board by Wednesday 19th December.
- It is proposed to split the current role of President into two
1. A President (public facing / presentations) and
2. A Chair of the Board
This would need to be ratified at the next AGM, but we hope that by splitting the role it may be more 'attractive' to some.
- New board members can be co-opted by the existing board at the next meeting
- All board members will be reviewed and voted in at the AGM in April 2018
- Three of the existing board will be required to step down at the next AGM so please consider all current board positions as 'open'.
