19 LHA athletes selected for National U16 Girls Squad

Congratulations to all the LHA athletes selected for Irish U16 trials following the Girls Inter-Provincials in Belfast at the weekend: Abbey Gilsenan, Aoife Glennon, Ashling Murray, Caoimhe Byrne, Ciara Kelly, Emma Paul, Eva Lavelle, Faye Neill, Holly Micklem, India Cotter, Isabelle Dunlop, Isabelle Maleady, Leah Kidd, Martha McCready, Milly Lynch, Niamh Oglivie, Nicola Torrans, Zoe Watterson
Newly appointed U16 Irish girls coach Brendon Carolan has announced the players selected for the upcoming U16's trials.
Commenting, Carolan said "As an initial entry point into the Ireland women's hockey programme, our aim is to create a long term pathway. A pathway to facilitate conditioning, technical athlete development and ultimately provide these athletes with every chance to make the Senior women's programme in years to come. I look forward to working with the future of Ireland women's hockey. "
The first trial will be held on Sunday 5th November , venue to be confirmed.
