Club Tricks 4 Sticks Programme Launched
December 01, 2016
Hockey Ireland has launched the application process for Tricks 4 Sticks 2017. Tricks 4 Sticks offers clubs the opportunity to increase youth participation numbers (girls and boys) through the running of a targeted schools programme. Clubs that are successfully accepted onto Tricks 4 Sticks receive
- funding to cover the programme’s coaching costs
- a coaching programme to up-skill their club coaches or train new coaches
- support in training teenagers to offer opportunities outside of playing hockey through our Youth Leader Programme
In November, Hockey Ireland were delighted to receive €35000 through the Dormant Accounts Funding Application process for Disadvantaged Areas. This funding from Sport Ireland means we now have the opportunity to further drive participation in socially or economically disadvantaged communities around Ireland. If your club would like to apply for funding to reach out to their community to grow hockey in RAPID areas, and/or in DEIS schools – please fill in the application form below titled Application Form for Disadvantaged Areas
If your club is not based near to a RAPID area or any DEIS schools, you can still apply to be part of Tricks 4 Sticks. Please fill in the application form 'Application Form WIS). Note funding for this has not yet been confirmed, however, we are hopeful it will still proceed and will know more information in January.
