Ladies Section Fixtures Meeting - 19th July

FIXTURES MEETING ON TUESDAY 19TH JULY @ 7.15PM IN THREE ROCK, EVERY CLUB MUST ATTEND AND CONFIRM ATTENDANCE BY RETURN.

Fixtures Meeting Procedure
- First of all every club must attend as this is where all clubs agree "home and away" with their opposition. The attached fixtures are generated by the system, this is your opportunity to change them to suit your clubs needs.
- Please bring your clubs fixtures to the meeting and may I suggest that you do some work and come prepared. Also I am old fashioned and would say, print out your fixtures and bring them with you. Some people tried to work off their phones last year and I think they found it cumbersome.
- Do not send a club rep to this meeting without explaining fully what happens at this meeting, otherwise your club may lose out - "lamb to the slaughter" comes to mind.
- Wear a club top/hoody as it makes it easier for everyone to find one another at the meeting.
Divisions for Season 2016/2017
The attached document is self-explanatory however please please think carefully about your teams and the leagues they are in. I am saying this because there is no relegation in season 2015/2016 and during last season a club said to us that actually they would probably have preferred to be relegated at the end of season 2014/2015 as their players were getting disheartened losing games. Please just think about it and contact us immediately as it is easier to sort out divisional/fixture changes now.
Division 12
We have not forgotten about you, we are just not doing your fixtures now as we want to see if there will be more teams coming on board or unfortunately if any teams withdraw. We will talk to you in early September. Our aim would be to have you playing 1st or worst case 8th October.
I think that is all except to say that the reason for this late fixtures meeting is simply due to the fact that we were waiting on the Hockey Ireland Calendar for 2016/2017, our fixtures slot into/around this calendar so that is our starting point. We received the calendar on Thursday 7th July @ 3pm so we have turned around our fixtures in three working day, a big thank you to Claire for this, the system may generate the fixtures but it needs the raw data which has to be input into the system. We will be talking to Hockey Ireland to ensure we receive the Hockey Ireland calendar in May of each year.
