LHA U21 Coaching Team Vacancies
The LHA are seeking applications / nominations for coaching and management roles for both the Mens and Ladies U21 development (new) and inter-provincial squads.
It is anticipated, but not yet confirmed by Hockey Ireland that an inter-provincial tournament will be held in early September.
Coach and Manager positions are appointed for a period of up to 3 years and will be reviewed annually following the annual inter-provincial tournament. The remit of the U21 coach is to select and coach players for a new development squad and to select players from that squad to take part in competitive events, including the inter-provincial competitions.
Head Coaches should hold an IHA (or equivalent) Level 2 coaching award and Assistant coaches should hold a Level 1 award. Coaches should expect to work within an LHA elite coach development framework which will be rolled out over 2016-17.

All LHA coaches and team managers must
- Have a formal coaching qualification
- A certificate for the “Code of Ethics for Young Children in Sport†course
- Be garda vetted for a leadership role within Leinster Hockey
- Sign up to the LHA code of conduct for sports leaders
