Following consultation between the IHA and each of the provinces it has been decided that the new FIH rules will come into effect at the start of the season for Irish and Leinster Competitions.
Additionally the IHA has received permission from the FIH to introduce the "Two Minute Green Card" sin bin in all Irish Competitions from the start of the 2012-13 season. This will also be applied in all LHA competitions.
Lastly, in line with IHA competitions, the LHA has also changed how games will now be decided in the event of a draw at the end of full time (for Cup Games only). In the event of a draw, the game will be decided by Silver Goal (5 minutes) followed by a penalty stroke competition.
The above changes were ratified by the LHA Board at its recent meeting.
