Leinster Hockey Season Underway After Opening Weekend

The Leinster Hockey season is officially underway for 2026/2027, and we’re looking forward to another action-packed season across the province.
Last season produced plenty of memorable moments throughout the senior and junior leagues, across both league and cup competitions, and we’re looking forward to another exciting campaign this year.
Over the weekend, the Women’s section got underway, with the Women’s EYHL beginning alongside all league divisions running through to LW Division 9. There were some brilliant games and performances throughout the opening weekend.
The Men’s league season will commence on Saturday, September 26th, while the Men’s teams are already back in action in the cup competitions. The Neville Cup took place over the weekend, with the Last 16 set to take place this weekend as teams battle for a place in the quarter-finals.
The Women’s EYHL also produced some strong opening performances, with Glenanne, Muckross and Avoca all picking up wins in their opening games, while YMCA and Corinthian played out a tight 1–1 draw.
Fixtures, Results & Standings
This season has also seen the introduction of Leinster Hockey’s new partnership with GameDay, giving players, clubs and supporters access to the latest fixtures, results and standings.
To access this information through the Leinster Hockey website, head to the Competitions section and select ‘Leinster’ from the drop-down menu. From there, you can access all of our competitions and use the sub-menu to filter by the relevant section.
You can then browse fixtures, results, league tables and statistics for each competition.
We’re looking forward to seeing how the season progresses and are already beginning to plan and prepare for our key senior and junior events. We’ll also be placing a greater focus on promoting selected leagues each week, helping to raise awareness of fixtures, results and the teams competing across Leinster.
