Leinster Indoor Finals Take Place This Weekend

January 23, 2026

The Men’s and Women’s Indoor season has been fiercely competitive across all divisions, and this weekend marks the exciting conclusion with Finals Day taking place on Sunday, January 25th.

The Leinster Men’s and Women’s Indoor Finals will be hosted at St Columba’s College. With Leinster titles and national qualification on the line, it promises to be a fantastic day of indoor hockey.

How the Leinster Indoor Finals Work

Following the conclusion of the Men’s and Women’s Division A leagues last weekend, the top four teams in each division have qualified for the Leinster Indoor Finals. These teams will compete in a semi-final format, with 1st place facing 4th and 2nd place taking on 3rd.

The winners of each semi-final will progress to the Leinster Indoor Final, where the Leinster Champions will be crowned. The winning team in each division will qualify directly for the National Semi-Finals, while the remaining teams will have another opportunity to qualify for the National Finals through the Super Sixes tournament.

Women’s Division A

Women’s Division A featured eight teams battling throughout the season for a top-four finish. Qualification remained undecided right up to the final round of matches, highlighting the competitiveness of the division.

Railway Union topped the table after a series of strong performances, with Portrane finishing close behind in second place. Corinthians and Avoca secured the remaining semi-final places to complete the top four.

On Sunday, Railway Union will face Avoca in the first semi-final at 4:15pm, followed by Portrane taking on Corinthians at 5:15pm. The Women’s Leinster Indoor Final will round off the day at 7:45pm.

Congratulations also go to the Portrane B Women’s team, who claimed the Division B Indoor title after a season that went right down to the final day. A fantastic achievement for everyone involved.

Men’s Division A

The Men’s Division A consisted of ten teams, all competing for a place in the top four and a spot at Finals Day. The race for qualification was incredibly tight, with several teams remaining in contention until the final round of fixtures.

Three Rock Rovers and Avoca secured their places early, while Corinthians and Portrane completed the semi-final lineup. Pembroke Wanderers, Monkstown and YMCA all pushed closely throughout the season and narrowly missed out.

The Men’s Finals Day action begins at St Columba’s College with Three Rock Rovers facing Portrane at 2:15pm. Avoca will then take on Corinthians in the second semi-final at 3:15pm. The Men’s Leinster Indoor Final is scheduled for 6:30pm.
