LHA November Newsletter

December 08, 2025

It’s been another exciting month of hockey across Leinster, with the EY Qualifiers reaching their closing stages, cup drama unfolding across the province, and plenty of fantastic events taking place throughout November.

EY Qualifiers

Women’s EY Qualifier

The Women’s EY Qualifier race went right down to the wire.
Monkstown and Avoca secured 1st and 2nd in impressive fashion, with both teams finishing the campaign unbeaten — Monkstown topping the division with nine wins from ten.

The battle for 3rd came down to the final day, with just a single point separating Trinity, Muckross and Corinthians. Trinity and Corinthians faced off while Muckross travelled to Kilkenny. In a dramatic finish, Trinity claimed the final promotion place.

Congratulations to all three teams, and well done to everyone involved for a brilliant first half of the season. Full Report: https://www.leinsterhockey.ie/news-detail/10094749/

Men’s EY Qualifier

On the men’s side, the race is exceptionally tight.
Clontarf and Portrane are currently tied on points at the top of the table. The race for third place is still well and truly in the balance as we head into the final week of action.

Schools Competitions

Schools hockey is now in full swing across both boys’ and girls’ competitions.

The Senior Girls Cup quarter-finals took place with some thrilling matches. Mount Anville, Wesley College, Rathdown School and Kilkenny College booked their places in the semi-finals. The semi-final draw will follow shortly.
