LHA Academy Vacancies 2019-20
There are a number of vacancies for coaches, managers and administrators for the LHA Academy Programme for the 2019-20 season.
All applicants will be subject to Garda Vetting, must have completed the Safe Guarding 1 course and agree to abide to the LHA Code of Conduct for Sports Leaders (Click Here). Coaches will also need to provide proof of their coaching qualifications. Head coaches should, ideally, have completed the equivalent of the Hockey Ireland level two course.
| South East Vacancies | The LHA have continued to enter an inter-provincial team in the girls' competitions (U16/18) from the region known as Leinster South East. However, at this time w have not received any applications for the South East U18 development or inter-provincial coaching teams. If suitably qualified applications have not applied by 31stMarch, then the LHA will withdraw the LSEU18 squad from the inter-provincial competition. Players from clubs based in South East will then be merged in with the wider group of Leinster U18s for development. |
| Development Coaches | There are still a number of development coaching vacancies. The development squads provide an opportunity for coaches to work with the top players in the province and provies an introduction to the inter-provincial coaching pathway. |
| Inter-Provincial Coaches | There are still a number of vacancies in the various squads as outlined in each section. Following the appointments of head coaches, interviews will be scheduled in the coming weeks. |
| Child Welfare Officer | The Childen's Officer role is currently vacant and the LHA is looking to appoint into this role. We would appreciate if any interested parties would make contact with the LHA. Although not an onerous task, we would ideally have 2-3 x Child Welfare Officers to cover the Leinster boys, Leinster girls and Leinster South East development and inter-provincial squads. |
