Under 21 Men's Squad to Play Wales
June 25, 2014
Ireland U21 will play Wales National Squad as part of their European preparations this Thursday in UCD at 7pm
Commenting on the matches ahead Coach Johnny Caren said "We are coming into the final preparation phase of our buildup towards the European B Division in Lousada, Portugal. The boys have been working extremely hard, on the pitch, in the gym and on the track so this test against the Welsh menâs national team will be a good indicator as to how far we have come as a squad and will highlight any areas that we have to focus on in our final camp next week in Cork."
"Competing against a senior men's team will stand some of these players in good stead in preparing for playing the likes of Russia and Ukraine during our group stage in Lousada, as they are renowned for having a physical presence during their games."
