Medals galore in Europe!

While the Rabobank Hockey World Cup may be in full flow there were fourteen EuroHockey Club Tournaments held over the weekend. Leinster teams Loreto HC and Monkstown HC were in action in the EuroHockey Club Champions Trophy Tournaments in Leicester (Eng) and Cagliari (Ity) respectively while Ulster's Banbridge HC were in the Czech Republic playing in the EHF Champions Challenge.
Monkstown HC
Four wins from four for Monkstown HC saw them claim 1st place at the EuroHockey
Club Champions Trophy. Huge congratulations to the squad and all the supporters who travelled to Italy to cheer on the guys. Full match report to follow.

Loreto HC
Loreto HC took the bronze medal in dramatic style this afternoon when they beat
C.H. SPV Complutense 3-2 in a penalty shoot out after the teams drew 1-1 in normal time. Full match report to follow.

Banbridge HC take Gold - congratulations to Banbridge who took gold at the EuroHockey Club Champions Challenge. They beat Akkord HC 6-3 in the final having won all their pool games.
