Rathgar HC seek Men's First Team Coach
May 25, 2014
Rathgar Hockey Club are now looking for a new men's first team coach for the coming season. The role comprises the following duties:
Organisation of training sessions from 7-9pm on Tuesdays and Thursday
Attendance at matches on Saturdays (and sometimes on Sundays depending on cup fixtures).
All the other usual stuff.
Potential candidates could be:
Someone with plenty of senior hockey playing experience who is looking to get their foot on the coaching ladder.
A coaching duo.
A current Division 1 player whoâs in the twilight of their playing career and sure might as well get a bit of money as a player/coach for their last couple of seasons.
We would like someone who:
Sees Rathgar as a medium term project with a vision and desire to coach the team for the next 2-3 seasons, with specific targets for the club over that period.
Will embrace the club and our ethos; we enjoy hockey and playing it at a high level, but itâs not the be all and end all.
Will be joining us in The Rathgar for post match pints and analysis.
Will be willing to swear allegiance to The Chief.
