Christmas Message
from the President of the Leinster Hockey Association
We are over half way through the season and Leinster representative Teams and our Clubs have had many successes with great games. The leagues have been subject to change to accommodate the requirements of Irish teams and the IHL.
In Irish Cup competitions at adult level we have six Leinster sides left of the final eight on the Men’s side and five of the last eight in the Ladies. Likewise we are still very well represented in the later stages of the other Irish Cups. Well done to Railway Union Men who retained the National Indoor title this weekend in Belfast.
Leinster teams have won the U18 Boys and the U18 and U16 Girls at the recent Inter-pros. The U16 Boys and the South East girls also had great tournaments. Leinster schools have also success in their competitions - congratulations to St Andrews College who won the All Ireland Schoolboys Tournament.
I have been made very welcome at several Clubs and grounds and I hope to visit many more during the rest of the season.
On the administration side the various Leinster committees are working very well ensuring that all the competitions are run with great efficiency
