2013 - Irish Hockey Awards

Irish Hockey are delighted to confirm that the Irish Hockey Awards will be taking place in early 2014 in a revised format (date & venue will be confirmed in the coming weeks). The awards have been reviewed by the board and a number of changes have been made most notably in the way the awards are presented.
The nomination and voting process is still in the hands of the Hockey Community and will again like last year be managed online – click here. The period for which you are making nominations is September 2012 through to August 2013, please note closing date for nominations is January 10th.
The key changes of note to the awards are:
1. Timing of the awards has been changed and will take place in the first quarter of 2014
2. Presentation – the event will be moving away from a black tie gala evening and presented in a more informal manner – details to follow.
3. Pre-Announcement – the majority of awards will have their winners announced in advance of the event with the winners invited. Both the over 18 Club player of the year and Club of the year awards winners will only be revealed at the event.
This is an opportunity for you as the hockey community to recognised those in the sport that contribute so much to make hockey in Ireland what it is today.
