Irish Hockey receive €10K from Coca Cola Thank You Fund

The Irish Hockey Association is delighted to announce that it has received a â¬10,000 award from the Coca Cola Thank You fund. The fund supports projects that contribute to the promotion of healthy lifestyles in the community.
IHA development officers designed an innovative programme called H3, or Healthy Heart Hockey. The development programme focuses on promoting an active lifestyle within the community, with hockey as the underlying theme. It is aimed at teenagers and adults and includes an introduction to Quick Hockey, a modified version of the sport, as well as nutritional and lifestyle information.
The award was presented to RDO Phil Oakley and CEO Mike Heskin at an event in the National Sportsâ Campus at Abbotstown today.
Speaking afterward, RDO Phil Oakley said âwe are delighted to receive this award from the Coca-Cola Thank You Fund. This gives us a huge opportunity to make a positive difference within the community and further develop the sport across the country.â
