Senior Interpros Cancelled

At the Management Board meeting on Sun 9th Sept the Interpro Working Group had sought a decision regarding the Senior Interpro's. This had come about from a request from the High Performance Working Group to the Interpro's Working Group, that they review the tournament as it is unlikely that either of the two National Coaches being appointed, will be in place come the Interpro competitions.
One of the criteria of the Interpro competition is that it was to allow the Senior Men's and Women's Coaches to view the standard of players available within the provincial teams.
The Interpro Working Group met and following discussion decided to recommended the cancellation of this seasons' Senior Interpros to the Board. The Board ratified this decision.
It was noted by the both the Board and the Interpro Working Group that they did not wish to see this prestigious and traditional tournament disappear altogether from the calendar. To that end the Interpros for the 2013/14 season and its role in regard to High Performance will need to be reviewed over the coming months and a decision made.
