Pick Up A Stick Programme

Pick Up A Stick Programme

May 08, 2023

Over 30 clubs benefitted from running a 'Pick Up A Stick' programme in 2022, introducing new players to the game of hockey! If this is something your club would be interested, see the link below.

Pick Up A Stick is an initiative that aims to provide an opportunity to individuals to try hockey for the first time or to get back into the sport in a fun and friendly environment.  If your club would like to reach out to the community and invite non-hockey players into the club, this initiative could be a good fit.

Running a Pick Up A Stick programme within your club this summer may take the form of a five or six week programme aimed at a particular cohort of individuals. The programme can be mixed or run for females or males only.  Regional blitz's will be arranged for Pick Up A Stick clubs to give those involved in the programme an opportunity to play fun non-competitive matches.
