St Kilians German School see Level One Coach (09th Aug 17)

St. Kilians German School is looking for an experienced level 1 hockey coach.
The responsibilities include coaching our junior and senior girls and assisting with our other boys and girls team where required.
 You must have completed the code of ethics course and be Garda vetted prior to commencement of work.

St Conleth's College seek Coach (03rd Aug 17)

Old Alexandra HC seek Ladies 4th XI Coach (14th July 17)

Old Alex Hockey Club is seeking applications for the position of Ladies’ 4th XI (Leinster Division 7) coach for the upcoming 2017/18 season.
Training times are Monday 7-9pm and Wednesday 7-9.30pm.  The appointed coach should be available to attend and coach Saturday matches, and attend Monday and ideally Wednesday training. Training sessions and home matches will take place in Alexandra College in Milltown.
Coaching experience and a minimum IHA Level One coaching qualification would be beneficial.

Bray HC see Ladies 2nd XI Coach (14th July 17)

Bray Hockey Club in Wicklow are seeking to appoint a coach for our Ladies 2nd XI for the coming 2017/18 season.
The position would involve coaching a dedicated team 2 evenings per week and attending weekend matches.

Suitable candidates must:

- Possess a Level 1 Hockey Coaching badge or relevant coaching experience
- Have completed a Code of Ethics course, are subject to Garda
   vetting and will be required to agree to the LHA Code of  
   Conduct for Sports Leaders
- Be available on Saturdays for matches

Wicklow HC seek Ladies 1st XI Coach (13th July 17)

Wicklow Ladies 1XI are seeking applications for the position of Head Coach for the 2017/18 season. 
Since entering the Leinster League in 2013, Wicklow have been promoted, as well as reaching the final of their divisional cups, for the past 4 years running.
As a growing club, with a strong junior section coming through, we are looking for a coach to support, encourage and help integrate these players into the senior squad.

Wicklow HC see Men's Head Coach (13th July 17)

The committee of Wicklow Hockey Club is seeking to recruit a Head Coach for their men’s section who will co-ordinate coaching for the First and Second team squads, provide First team match-day coaching and help develop a pathway for youngsters across the club into Senior Hockey. Wicklow Hockey Club is a rapidly developing club which operates two Senior men’s teams in the Leinster leagues, training twice a week in East Glendalough school. These are supported by a strong Junior section and Indoor and Veteran’s squads also compete during the season.
Desired responsibilities:
-Planning and leading challenging sessions delivering high quality coaching for First team players as well as providing development opportunities for Second team players.

-Performance analysis (in training and matches) to support team and player development
-Devising effective tactics for match-days and collaborating with team captains on team selection.
-Leading and coaching the First team squad on match-days (mainly Saturdays) in league and cup matches.
-Providing support to less experienced coaches within the club, and all team captains.
Desired competencies:
-Available to attend twice weekly training (normally Tuesday and Thursday evening), including preseason.
-Available to attend majority of First team competitive fixtures on Saturdays.
-Strong interpersonal skills enabling confident communication with players of varying ages and abilities with the ability to understand personality differences and manage them appropriately.
-Good leadership skills with an ability to motivate individuals and create a team ethos with commitment and hard work from the players.
-The coach will work alongside the men’s First team captain and report directly to the committee.
-Candidates will be expected to have the relevant Garda vetting and Code of Ethics certification.
-Expenses and/or a retainer will be available for the successful applicant depending on experience, commitment and suitability for the role.
-Applications for a player/coach role will also be considered.

YMCA HC seek Ladies Coach (13th July 17)

YMCA Ladies 1st XI are looking for a new coach for the 2017/18 Season.
The ladies are currently in Leinster Division 2 and are an exciting young side looking to progress towards the upper tiers of ladies hockey. YMCA has a big ladies colt section with many eligible for senior hockey next year. Training and home matches will be at Wesley College.

Rathgar HC seek Coach (11th Jul 17)

Rathgar Hockey Club are seeking a Ladies’ 4th team (Div. 11) Coach for the upcoming 2017/2018 season.
The role will comprise of the following duties:
  • To produce and implement a well-structured and progressive coaching programme to meet the needs of players
  • The preparation, organisation and execution of training sessions from 7-9pm on Mondays and Wednesdays
  • To appropriately plan for and attend matches on Saturdays (with occasional Sunday and midweek matches) throughout the season.
  • To be a positive role model, creating a positive and enjoyable environment in which to motivate players and encourage participation
  • To develop players’ skills to compete at Division 10 and above.
  • Being responsible for team selection
  • To develop and integrate young players into the senior squad
  • Liaising with relevant members of the club committee other Coaches and Team Managers as required
Potential candidates should have the following skills:
  • Ability to develop and implement high quality, varied and creative coaching sessions, focusing on player skill development and creating tactical awareness
  • Ability to communicate in a highly effective manner with players and have excellent team-building skills
  • Ability to organise with attention to detail and in an efficient manner
  • Ability to instruct and lead players
  • Ability to motivate players to perform to the best of their ability
  • Ability to manage a squad with potentially different abilities
For the 2017/2018 season Rathgar are targeting a top 2 finish for our 4’s in order to be promoted to Division 10. Suitable candidates:
  • Should ideally possess a Level One Hockey Coaching qualification or relevant coaching experience
  • are subject to Garda Vetting and will be required to agree to the LHA Code of Conduct for Sports Leaders and complete a code of ethics course
