The Teresian School seek Coach (08th June 17)

The Teresian Secondary School, Donnybrook are seeking to appoint a hockey coach for the academic year 2017/19.  The position would involve coaching a number of teams at all age levels (1st year to senior) and umpiring matches. Hours approx five per week.
Suitable candidates
  • must have completed a Code of Ethics course, are subject to Garda Vetting and will be required to agree to the LHA Code of Conduct for Sports Leaders
  • ideally possess a Level One Hockey Coaching badge or relevant coaching experience
  • must be available on occasional Saturday mornings and week day afternoons

UCD seeking Coaches (24th May 17)

UCD Ladies Hockey Club are hiring coaches for a  variety of junior teams across a range of Leinster Divisions.  Coaching for UCD LHC is a fantastic opportunity to develop yourself as a coach with a wide range of excellent students of different abilities.  All Coaches should be available for two training sessions midweek and a match on a Saturday.  It is important that candidates are enthusiastic and motivated to guide their team throughout the season.
Interested candidates should :
- Have a minimum of a IHA Level One Coaching qualification
- Have completed a Code of Ethics course with Irish Hockey
- Be capable of preparing appropriate weekly session plans

Trinity Ladies seed 2nd XI Coach (08th June 17)

The Trinity Ladies Hockey Club 2nd team (Div 3) are seeking a coach for the 2017/18 season. Must be available Monday and Wednesday evenings (20.00-22.00) for trainings and Saturdays for matches. Travel expenses and such are covered.

Railway Union seeking Men's 1st XI Coach (17th May 17)

Railway Union Hockey Club is seeking a coach for their first XI men’s team for the upcoming 2017/18 season. Competing in the EYHL since its inception, Railway Union offers the opportunity to coach at the highest Irish club level.
Applicants will require:
- A minimum of an IHA Level 1 coaching qualification, with Level 2 qualification preferable.
- Relevant coaching experience is essential.
- Familiarity and competence with game video analysis and the ability address and convey this in team video sessions.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate players to perform to the best of their abilities.
The successful applicant will be responsible for:
- The design and implementation of structured, high intensity, team training sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
- Appropriate planning for, and attendance at, all team matches on Saturdays, with occasional Sunday and midweek matches throughout the season.
- Development and integration of young players into the senior squad, along with overseeing the development of second team players into the first team squad.
- Liaising with relevant members of the club committee as required.
Appropriate remuneration will be discussed with potential applicants during the interview process.

St Kilian's Deutsche Schule Dublin - Coaching Opportunity (17th May 17)

St. Kilians German School is looking for an experienced level1 hockey coach.
The responsibilities include coaching our junior and senior girls and assisting with our other boys and girls team where required.
You must have completed the code of ethics course and be Garda vetted prior to commencement of work.

Coaching Opportunities with Bray HC (11th May 17)

Bray Hockey Club in Wicklow are seeking to appoint a number of hockey coaches for the coming 2017/18 season.
Positions available include both Men’s and Ladies coaches in a range of divisions. The positions would involve coaching a dedicated team 2 evenings per week and attending weekend matches.

Suitable candidates must:

- Possess a Level 1 Hockey Coaching badge or relevant coaching experience
- Have completed a Code of Ethics course, are subject to Garda
vetting and will be required to agree to the LHA Code of
Conduct for Sports Leaders
- Be available on Saturdays for matches

Rathgar HC seeking a Men's1st XI Coach (10th May 17)

Rathgar Hockey Club are seeking a men’s first team coach for the upcoming 2017/2018 season.
 The role will comprise of the following duties: 
- To produce and implement a well-structured and progressive coaching programme to meet the needs of players
-The preparation, organisation and execution of training sessions from 7-9pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays
-To attend matches on Saturdays (and sometimes Sundays, depending on the competition)
-To be a positive role model, creating a positive and enjoyable environment in which to motivate players and encourage participation
-To develop players’ skills to compete at the highest level
- Being responsible for team selection
 Potential candidates should have the following skills: 
Ability to develop and implement high quality, varied and creative coaching sessions, focusing on player skill development and creating tactical awareness
Ability to communicate in a highly effective manner with players and have excellent team-building skills
Ability to organise with attention to detail and in an efficient manner
Ability to instruct and lead players
Ability to motivate players to perform to the best of their ability
 For the 2017/2018 season Rathgar are targeting a top 3 finish to qualify for the end of season IHL playoff competition. Previous coaching experience and a minimum IHA Level One coaching qualification would be an advantage. Rathgar Hockey Club will also consider the option of a player/coach if the applicant is interested in such a position.

Waterford Hockey Club (10th May 17)

Waterford Hockey Club wish to recruit two experienced Head Coaches - for the Men's 1XI/Senior Squad and the Ladies 1XI / Senior Squad. 

Training times are Tuesday 7-9pm and Thursday 7-9pm. These times are flexible and can be changed to suit. The appointed coach should be available to attend and coach Saturday matches. Training sessions and home matches will take place in Newtown School in Waterford. For both roles, coaching experience and a minimum IHA Level One coaching qualification would be beneficial.
